Nana Gaprindashvili
Nana Gaprindashvili was born in 1958. She studied at the Belarussian State University and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. In 1980, she graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Tbilisi State University. In 1985, she defended her candidate's thesis (“Georgian-Belarussian literary relations in the 60-80s of the 20th century”) and was awarded the scientific degree of a Candidate of Philological Sciences. In 1993, Nana Gaprindashvili defended her doctoral thesis (“Peculiarities of foreign literature and perception of the world – historical-comparative research” ) and was awarded the scientific degree of a Doctor of Philological Sciences. In 2000, Nana Gaprindashvili was awarded a scientific-pedagogical title of a professor. She has authored 6 monographs, 4 textbooks and 100 scientific works. N.Gaprindashvili is a Professor at the Faculty of Humanities of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
