Konsantine Bregadze
Konstantine Bregadze was born in 1974. In 2004 he obtained a PhD with his thesis on ‘The philosophy of Novalis’ Language’. The same year, Mr. Bregadze became a member of Goethe International Society in Tbilisi. A few years later, in 2007 he became the first Georgian member of Novalis International Society.It is noteworthy, that Mr. Bregadze has taken part in many local as well as international scientific conferences, not only in Georgia but in other foreign countries, such as Germany.
Highlighted should be the fact, that he not only translated, but made commentaries and published the cycle of poems “Hymns to the Night’’ (Hymnen an die Nacht) by Novalis.
Apart from the above-mentioned book, Mr. Bregadze is the author of several publications of collected articles: ‘Philosophical studies of Literature and Linguistics. Novalis, Goethe, W. von Humboldt’ (Tbilisi, 2009); ‘German Romanticism. Hermeneutical Studies’’ (Tbilisi, 2012).
Nowadays Mr. Bregadze is an Associate Professor of the Faculty of Humanities at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, teaching students of German Philology.
Mr. Bregadze has a wide variety of interests, including: German Romanticism, Georgian and German Modernism, Hermeneutics, Philosophy of Linguistics.
