Konstantine Gamsakhurdia
Konstantine Gamsakhurdia graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Department of Iranian Studies (Faculty of Oriental Studies), specializing in Eastern Regional Studies. He has completed his postgraduate education in Middle Eastern History at Acad. G. Tsereteli Institute of Oriental Studies of Georgian Academy of Sciences. Currently, he is a PhD student at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. He works as an Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Federal Republic of Germany. He is a writer, publicist, translator and expert on South-Eastern Eurasia and politics. His research interests include culture and religions of Ancient Orient, social relations in the 4th-5th century Iran. He has published a monograph The Tapestry of Culture in Early Christian Kartli, seventeen publications, and ten monographs. He has translated and published volumes of 19th and 20th century poetry of German and British Pre-Raphaelites. Konstantine Gamsakhurdia regularly participates in international scientific conferences.
