Assistant-professor of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. PhD in English Philology. The courses she teaches embrace the history of the English language, the grammar of the English language, the lexicology of the English language etc. Fields of research: pragmatics, semantics, sociolinguistics, politeness theory and speech etiquette, phatic communication, culture differences reflected in cross-cultural communication, culture shock and face-saving strategies. Author of one monograph “British-Georgian Cultural Peculiarities and Norms of Politeness” and numerous scientific articles, book reviews and papers presented at local and international conferences.
