Lia Akhaladze

Born 1966. Graduate the Faculty of History and Law at Sokhumi Branch of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, majoring in history (1992). Post-graduate at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (1996). Defend candidate dissertation entitled "Georgian epigraphic monuments in Abkhazia in the 9^th-17^th centuries" and take scientific degree of candidate of historical sciences (1998). PhD of history (2007).

Published 2 monographs, 2 methodic manuals and about 60 scholarly works.

Major research interests: source study, epigraphy, paleography, history of Georgia of Middle Ages, problems of teaching History in the modern period.
